5 Stars LOVE it!!!
I LOVE this expansion pack. The create-a-pet option was so much fun, especially when it came down to layering a pet’s coat so it could be mult-colored. Gameplay was fun too. It was weird getting used to not being able to control your pet (they have a mind of their own… you can see their needs, but can’t control them. You have to use your sim to train them or encourage them to eat/play/chew/etc.), but also a new level of fun.

5 Stars i’m soooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i might get this game today at walmart for only[...] .i will expreirience the fun in the game.(i am not new to any of the sims games.)

5 Stars Just about the best
The Sims 2 Pets is a great, fun game. It doesn’t come with a lot of pet things, but it does come with the basics. The dogs and cats are great. It is very enjoyable. It is a lot better than the Sims 1 Unleashed. I recommend this game more than any other Sims game.

5 Stars most fun game i ever played
I love pets.so this is the most fun game i ever played.I recommend this game to be bought.

5 Stars I think it’s really cool.

2 Stars Boring!!!!!
OK. I got this game and I was really excited. Then when I put the game chip in and… BORING!!!!! I had adopted the dog and then I went through the aweful trainig games and met a few dogs. When I had finished the toutorial version, I adopted 2 new pets. They had a child and I got 4 dogs. (I think this is for young children to practice math with, 1 dog+ 2 more dogs+ baby dog= 4 puppies.)

Well, I’ ve had many other games that involve patince, but this game takes the longest to load! The dogs are in one room and when you click on a door, they have to walk in of corse, but they never all make it through in less than 20 seconds!

If you have a t.v. with country- wide service (like getting Nickolodian and Cartoon Network) you might of seen a commercial for it. DON’T BELIVE THE COMMERCIAL!!!! That dog (Wiggles) is a huge fake that tricks kids into buying this game (or in some cases asking for it on special occasions) but whether you’re a kid or adault reading my review (and most others) DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!!!

4 Stars Great Game!
I got this game for Christmas and I really like it! First, you go to the adoption center and pick a huskey, golden retriever, or a chihuahua. Then, you take it home and play with it and pet it to make it grow up. Later you can unlock more breeds including:

Boxer

Yorkie

Pug

Schnauzer

Beagle

Poodle

German shephard

You unlock breeds by breeding your dogs.

You can also unlock special breeds by entering a code. If you enter a code you get a special toy and a special breed such as a fairy yorkie or a super hero huskey. Sometimes you will aslo get an outfit to dress your dog up in.

Unlike Nintendogs there are many rooms in your house. There is a kitchen, living room, closet, bathroom, front entrance, and a pet room. The pet room is where you put your dogs if there is no more room for them. You can have three dogs with you at a time, but you can have ten dogs in all.

BREEDING YOUR DOGS

To breed you dogs you need a full grown male and female. You let them play together (it takes 5 to 10 minutes) When there is a laughing face between the pictures of them on the top screen, they will have a puppy. What the puppy looks like depends on what its parents look like.

To make your puppy grow up you pet it until it has three hearts.

PARKS + PLACES

There are 4 places you can go to:

Snow Field

Park

Beach

Adoption center

You unlock these places by breeding your dogs with other the other dogs at the parks.

TOYS

You simply unlock toys by doing the park challenge (which is dog agility) or entering a code.

FOOD

Every day for 12 days you will get a new food or drink.

CLOTHES

You can unlock clothes by breeding, entering codes, or taking good care of your dogs.

HOUSE DESIGNS

You can unlock different house designs by breeding your dogs with other dogs at the parks.

OTHER STUFF

Other things you can do:

You can take pictures and save them

You can wirelessly play with friends

BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME

Takes WAY to long to load when you are going places

The dogs are not very realistic (but its not a big deal)

It takes to long for the dogs to breed

Some of the puppies are ugly (but most of them are cute)

The dogs sometimes have unrealistic movements (like randomly standing on their hind legs)

The dogs do not pick up toys in their mouths, instead they will just bark at it.

Despite these things this is still a fun game and I recommend it to any dog lover.

P.S SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR REAL DOGS!!!!

3 Stars An ok game, but not as fun as I thought.
This game is pretty fun, but sometimes it is not.

BAD THINGS:

First of all, at the beginning you can only keep up to three dogs. By the end of the game you can keep ten dogs. But there are not many breeds to choose from. There is an ugly golden retriever, a prissy chihuahua, a sweet husky, a boxer, a yorkie, a beagle, a pug, a shnowzer (I know that is not how to spell it), and I think one more breed. And there is not much to do other than watch the dogs run around, breed them (which takes a few hours to get them to like each other), and pet them. You can only breed them when they “grow up” and you have to just sit there and pet them for about an hour until all their hearts are filled up. Also, when you breed the dogs, they only have one puppy. When you get them from the adoption center, it is hard to tell if they are a boy or a girl because both of the signs are blue.

GOOD THINGS:

This game is fun because you get to breed dogs. I have always wanted to, but my mom did not let me. On this game, you can sometimes breed, but they have to get to like each other first (which takes a few hours,) so what I do is I leave the game on, plug my ds into the charger, and leave sitting on the couch. Then I check on it in an hour and my dogs might start to like each other. Also, well it is boring other than that.

So if you would like a less boring dog game, get nintendogs or petz dogz fashion.

4 Stars Daughter 8 loves it…

4 Stars waiting in anticipation
i orded this product yesterday, finally saved the money. so now i’m waiting on little miss snail mail. i gave this game 4 stars because i am sure it will live up to the standards that all (or most) sims games have followed. i’ve been addicted to the sims for around 5 years and have passed my addiction to a few along the way, i am extreamly excited about this game, possibly too excited about it. at the brink of the news that my dog of 13 years will be put to rest in 9.5 hours i think it will be very appropriate to pay homage to her in this game.. but once again i’m very excited and will post back once i get this game!

3 Stars Addictive then Forgettable
With any Maxis game, Sims or not, when you first play its typically addictive and then eventually gets old and you move on, this is a fun game with hidden secrets that keeps your interested a bit longer than usual but the inevitable happens and the game collects dust, glad I bought it though.

3 Stars The Sims Falls short…
As an avid player of the Sims games, I recieved this around Christmas last year. I still continue to play it, but there are some things about me that bother it. First, somebody decided to make it more kid-friendly and decided to put underwear on the characters when they’re showering of bathing, but it’s still blurred. WHY do that? It was fine before when it was blurred when they weren’t wearing anything. Secondly, they took out a whole lot of items from the original on the XBox. The game is also slow on the Playstation 2 and can freeze if you’re doing too much at once.

The game is enjoyable, and the graphics have become a bit better, but the underwear while bathing, the lack of more items and the lack of gestures to do like ‘woo hoo’ and makeout are annoying. The Pets don’t really do anything interesting, which I believe was just a stunt to make more money.

It’s an ok game, but it’s not the best game in the world.

4 Stars We already had this but service was great I just need to know how to exchnage it
How do I exchange this product I bought my daughter the wrong one. I am not very good at remembering the ones she has. Thanks for your help I think i kept the receipt. Jena Hill

4 Stars Teen daughter loves it
the only thing that my daighter wishes in this game is for a variety of pets. Pretty much limitted to cats and dogs. You can have a hamster, but it’s not interactive. Also you can not make decisions for the pet… only as the owner.
