3 Stars Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2
Capcom Classics Collection Volume 2, is the second collection of games from Capcom’s history released for the Playstation 2. The games that are included in this collection are: 1941: Counter Attack, Avengers, Black Tiger, Block Block, Captain Commando, Eco Fighters, The King of Dragons, Knights of the Round, Last Duel, Magic Sword, Mega Twins, Quiz & Dragons, Side Arms, Street Fighter, Strider, Super Street Fighter II: Turbo, The Speed Rumbler, Three Wonders, Tiger Road, and Varth. Where the first collection contained a bit more actual classics then filler, the second installment suffers from the problem of there being too much filler in the collection. As for the games themselves, they are each ported to the Playstation 2 very nicely and many of them look and feel as I remember them. Overall this collection is worth pickiing-up purely for the few classics that are included and being able to play these games again, even if it does mean wading through a large ammount of sub-par games.

5 Stars this is a must for old school arcade fanatics who love capcom games..
most of the games wher good in this volume though some i will admit I have never played before but yet did enjoy some were others that I always wanted but could never find back in the day……buy it! it is a must have for anyones video game collection…..

5 Stars Oldies are goodies
The games on this collection are so much fun. I spend hours playing it by myself and when my nephews are here to play with me, the many multiplayer games provide us with a choice of challenges. I recommend this collection to anyone for the variety it contains. You will LOVE it. Just remember it’s “old school” graphics which I really enjoy!

5 Stars Great old school arcade bundle
This collection has some of the most important arcade classics from the late 80s and early 90s: a street fighter II variant, a 194X vertical shooter, several horizontal shooters, and Strider. I tried a console version of Strider back in the early 90s - might have been a Nintendo console - and it sucked vs. the arcade game. These are all the real original arcade versions, the only thing missing is the greasy joystick and skeeball ticket redemption counter 10 feet to my left. Definitely a winning value for your PS2.

1 Star THE PAST
I BOUGHT THIS TITLE BECAUSE OF THE GAMES I REMEMBER AS A KID AND THOUGHT I WOULD ENJOY THEM NOW AS AN ADULT GAMER, BUT THAT IS NOT TRUE.FROM THE WAY THE NINTENDO CONTROLLED THEM AND HOW THAT IS DONE IS A BIT DUMBED DOWN. YOU DONT HAVE TO WORK HARD TO GET MORE LIVES OR SAVE POINTS YOU CAN DIE RUN OUT OF MEN AND NOT HAVE TO START FRESH FROM THE BEGINING YOU JUST RESTART FROM THE POINT OF DEMISE, AND SINCE I AM PLAYING ON A PS3 IT IS REALLY SMARTER THAN THE GAMES. KEEP THE MEMORIES OF WHEN YOU PLAYED IN YOUR YOUTH BECAUSE ITS NOT THE SAME EXPERIANCE NOW…

1 Star dont bother unless you have never played anoter version of this game
this game is very fun. however i give it a one star over all because of the way it was marketed. i own and love ninja gaiden black. i bought this game because i kept hearing about all the “added content” and “improved graphics”. the added content is quite lame. this game actually has less to unlock than the “black” version, besides a few added cut scenes and a couple of addition boss battles that do nothing to enhance the story (they only provided me with irritation) this version has very little to offer. in the way of graphics. i was very disappointed. its debatable that the graphics are improved at all over “black”. thats not good for a next gen system. the cut scenes which i love actually were worse because they took out the pretty cgi and used in game graphics. the difference wasnt that apparent but when you look close there were many more jagged lines where before they were smooth.

i will say that if you own a ps3 and have not played ninja gaiden black then deffinately pick this up. its very fun.

5 Stars A Farewell To Thumbs.
When talking of Ninja Gaiden Sigma, there are those who wish to talk about how the game differs from the original XBOX versions (especially Ninja Gaiden Black (2005)), on the one hand, and those who wish to talk about Sigma as simply a great PS3 game. I would like to focus on the latter point. Sure, NGS is more polished graphically than its predecessor, and has a new playable character -the heavily bosomed Rachel- but it is fundamentally the same game to any but the most fanatical Ninja Gaiden fans. Of course, Tomonubo Itagaki, who was Producer of the XBOX Ninja Gaidens, would disagree with this point: he has publicly denigrated the PlayStation 3 version of the game, perhaps because it was left to his understudies to make whilst he worked on the XBOX 360’s Ninja Gaiden 2. But let’s put that down to ego and move on.

Sigma is a beautiful game, but its real beauty lies in the complexity of the combat system. The game is quite simply a masterpiece of fast-paced control and combat design. It edges ahead of games such as the excellent Devil May Cry series because of its wonderful balance of defence and attack, magnificently fluid controls and ultra-demanding difficulty level. Its lasting brilliance is shown by how it is able to instil a feeling of pride in a gamer who succeeds in defeating a boss, or mastering a combo move: it is the gaming equivalent of learning a martial art. It is Ninjitsu for thumbs.

Sigma, whilst not significantly “better” than the previous versions of the game, is wonderful despite -or perhaps because of- that. Most significantly, it gives PlayStation 3 owners the chance to play the greatest action adventure masterpiece of the last twenty years.

3 Stars Not sure why this game is so popular
I agree that this game has excellent graphics moves and everything that you need. However I am stuck with the difficulty level and game play of the game.

I believe the game play is quite repetitive and the moves are really difficult. How am I supposed to remember a five or four button sequence just to perform one move. It irritated me. I spent 40 bucks on this game and think it is not worth this much.

5 Stars Wow!! This Game is the Boss!!
The graphics are so tight you will be playing this game in your dreams! Definitely not an easy game; you will have put in some serious time, but worth every minute. If you are looking for a challenge, smart story line, cool weapons, tight martial arts moves and some kick-butt graphics you want to get this game.

I am very pleased.

2 Stars Infuriating Game If Your Not a Gamer
I’ll admit I’m not a serious gamer, but I’m not useless with a controller. I normally play a game on the normal setting and hard once Ive already beat it. This game though, Damn. There are no other diffuculty settings other than “Youre F*ed”. I have always wanted to play this game since I saw it on the Xbox, but since I have only had Playstations, I never got a chance until now. I was so excited when the game came it. I put it in and started playing it. Well right away I had a ninja running at me slashing me to bits. So I had to pause the game and read the manual to find out which buttons are what. So I start playing again with my new found knowledge of controls and work my way through the level, all the while getting my butt handed to me. After several deaths, I finally made it to the boss, who then proceeds to slaughter me. Now I will admit that I have little patience for this kind of stuff, but a 10 minute first boss fight is rediculous. After the first 3 hours of frustrating playing and never getting past the first boss, I took out the disk and threw it like a ninja star right into the wall. Which then pissed me off more because I had just wasted 50 bucks on a game. Im sure this game wouldve been much more fun, if it had not been so stupidly hard and I had a little more patience. All in all Id say “rent before you buy”

4 Stars Awesome Game!!!
This game has pretty good graphics and over 20 different games on it. A lot of the games on it are medieval and are a lot alike but they are fun. There are also fighting games on this too that are fun. My favorite games on this are, Street Fighter, Street Fighter 2 turbo fighting, Captain Commando, Knights of the Round, King of Dragons and Three Wonders. Block Block is kind of stupid and I don’t know if it is black tiger or tiger road but that game is lame and hard. I wish that there were interviews or clips on here like other compilations/arcade games had. If you are looking for other compilation/arcade games look for my reviews on… Taito Legends 1, Midway Arcade Treasures 1-3, Intellivision Lives, and Atari Anthology. 5 Stars Black Tiger,Strider and 18 more Capcom classics on one disc!!! Wow!!!
Virtually a 20 game arcade on one small disc for enjoyment on the PS2 or 3!!! Being a Black Tiger fan I was in video game heaven when this game was released!!! Heck, I bought a PS2 and a PSP also, just to play Black Tiger again, and you can even pick the number of lives and difficulty, just try doing that on the arcade original, well you can’t!!! A boatload of positive memories!!! the other 19 games are a hoot as well,Strider,Captain Commando,Block Block(it’s sort of like Super Breakout or Arkanoid, and is just as fun!),Magic Sword,King Of Dragons(my nephew Trey’s favorite, but he likes Black Tiger as well!),Knights of The Round,Quiz and Dragons(you need your thinking cap for this one!),Three Wonders and many more!!! An awesome bargain for the money!!!Two Thumbs Up,Way Up!!! Five stars!!! A+

3 Stars old school is here, but……………
Ho-Hum, I enjoyed vol.1 more. I just wanted this one for the 1st STREET FIGHTER. Even though it’s fairly pathetic in terms of graphics & gameplay compared to any of the SF2 series. I just don’t understand why capcom didn’t just put SF1 in SF: Anniversary collection as an unlockable. But anyway all the other games were pretty good to see and play again, at least there’s a lot of ‘em and thats always a good thing.

3 Stars Pretty fun but crippled by basic problems
Ninja Gaiden Sigma was a baptism of fire, to say the least. It throws you into a flurry of shurikens and blades the instant you begin to play, and the difficulty level does not waver throughout the game at all. For someone like me who crunches through games like a fiend, I was hoping that Ninja Gaiden Sigma would put up a fight.

This game was fun, but tough. You will definitely get the snot kicked out of you many times but that makes the victory that much more rewarding. This game is not for causal gamers or people who get frustrated easily. You will repeat a lot of fights either because of respawns or deaths.

My number one qualm about this game is the camera. It is one of the worst cameras I have ever had the displeasure of maneuvering in a game. Camera failures will disable your ability to focus on the proper targets, see around corners, and be sneaky…like a ninja is supposed to be. Camera adjustments are possible, but the controls are unresponsive as the game tries to focus on things for you and fails miserably.

Your opponents are supposed to cause your death, not a camera. This is the type of game where every last drop of health counts, and when your camera doesn’t enable you to target any of the four enemies that are pumping you full of lead, your death will come quickly.

I expected more out of Tecmo for this port. The crappy camera is what made the fun factor 4/5 rather than a perfect 5. The game’s challenge actually adds to the fun. It takes effort to win. But again, this fundamental flaw puts a damper on what the game could and should have been.

5 Stars Ryu is a supper high speed ninja power, oh wait I forgot lethal!
Playing the game was an overall great experience. I particularly enjoyed the high speed fights with all the plenty of combos to master, and I was a bit surprised to the meticulous work done on the storyline, considering this is a “Ninja” game. The game becomes really hard as you acquaint the next bosses, so if you don’t want to throw your controller on the wall, I strongly suggest for some tactics hints found on the official game guide.

4 Stars great game
its not perfect, but it plays and handles supperbly. Good story, and quite a challenge, due to its difficulty level. The game it self was perfect, but cant say the same for everything else, i got shipped in a black broken box, no manual, no nothing, but the disc was in perfect condition, not what i expected for 30$

5 Stars The Original Masterpiece… Now Even Better
Ninja Gaiden and NG: Black made their ‘current-gen’ debut on the Microsoft XBox to great acclaim. Ninja Gaiden featured cutting edge console graphics, fantastic gameplay, an engaging story and is known for it’s challenging difficulty.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma takes all of these features and improves upon them on the Sony Playstation 3. The graphics have been revamped and improved upon in almost every conceivable way. Details that were simply not possible before are now everywhere. Character models move fluidly at a constant 60 frames-per-second.

The addition of several “side-chapters” as the character Rachel are also included in Sigma. Along with the side-chapters, Sigma features an extreme challenge mode that is available after finishing the game once. Essentially, it is a group of increasingly challenging battles that range from boss fights to endurance fights against groups of enemies. Also available via Playstation Network are several downloads for extra content and gameplay modes.

For new players and old fans alike this is a must have game and continues to set the bar high for the action game genre.

The only detraction from this game is that it does recycle cut-scenes from the XBox original. The interesting thing to note is that this is truly a game where the player controlled sequences look better than the FMV sequences.

5 Stars It’s pretty great game!!!
I love this game and it’s great game. It’s one of my favorite game. The images were great. The story was nice. I enjoy the game.
