The kids played this for a while but it got old fast. Now it has dust on it.
5 Stars Fun, fun and no mess!
The Cooking Mama Cook Off was a big hit at a recent birthday party. The 3 pre-teens really enjoyed playing it and wore themselves out. Plus, your Price was RIGHT!!!
1 Star This game is not worth the money
This game is really awful. The graphis are bad and at some points it is hard to understand the speaker, the accent is so bad. AND it takes no time at all to make all the recipes. Over all, there are better games for your money!
2 Stars Cooking Mama cuts you off.
55 recipes too few (4-6hrs or less to complete).
Some cutting actions or cooking methods not as interesting as others (shaking pepper, salt, and other seasonings is boring).
Often the controls are not sensitive enough and you either get the right motion or you don’t, no relative skill/points in between.
My main problem with the game is the decoration of finished food items. You have very little time to play with a finished item and custom decorate it (add a smiley face with ketchup, or otherwise adorn your food). If you spend too much time making a fun looking final dish then you fail the dish. If you splash a random blob of something and hit done then you make great time and are scored better. You can’t take all the time you want even if you accept failing the dish, the game forces you out after a brief time no matter what. This is my pet peeve, the game has so few recipes and it doesn’t even let you exhaust the fun options on these. It needs a sandbox mode where you can have all the time you want for each step, including the decoration (superficial to game play but an enjoyable element).

Cooking Mama Cook Off is very fun! It didn’t take me long to unlock all 55 of the recipes! You can make recipes by yourself or play against someone to see who can get a higher score. Gives directions for each step, pretty easy to follow! Would definitely recommend it!
