Sega Dreamcast Controller Gray
Sega Dreamcast Controller Gray

The Dreamcast controller offers an analog stick, a D-pad, a Start button, four gaming buttons (labeled A, B, X, and Y), and two analog index finger triggers on the underside. It also contains two slots which fit memory cards or the rumble pack; the uppermost one had a window through which the VMU’s display can be seen.

5 Stars A Different and Yet Solid Controller
Very similar to the Saturn’s 3D controller, the 1st party Dreamcast controller may seem lacking in necessary buttons,at first. However, once used one wonders why they ever thought so.The single analog stick,D-pad,start button, four main buttons and the two triggers are always sufficient for the games they are used for.Understandably, some may complain that, without the second analog stick, first person shooters are awkward to control. This isn’t much of an issue, however,as after a small amount of time one can fairly easily adjust to the different control scheme. And really,if your playing on the Dreamcast, especially today, than your not likely going to be playing the dated and inferior shooters of this console.Your going to be playing the classic platformers like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2,the awesome fighting games that are Soul Calibur and Marvel vs. Capcom, and the timeless RPGs of Skies of Arcadia and Grandia 2.
5 Stars Dreamcast…We hardly knew ye…
The Dreamcast controller was made for the Dreamcast Console, duh. It was the last of SEGA’s game consoles, and was too short lived. A great system, which could have had a better chance.
5 Stars Excellent
A bit scared at first, because i’ve got no confirmation e-mail from the seller, but arrived between the estimated dates, so no problem. Excellent conditions as well. Very Satisfied
4 Stars Comfortable controller
The Dreamcast is a nicely done controller and I consider it one of the greatest ones made. The controller is more comfortable than a lot of other controls on the market.I like it better than the Playstation controller when it comes to fighting games, but an arcade-style joystick is recommend for fighting games like Street Fighter Alpha 3.I bought one of my controls for $3.99 and all I had to do was wipe off the sticky residue with rubbing alcohol and now it works like new.
The control is different because the cord is at the bottom of the control instead of the top and their is a Vmu slot(memory system) at the top.The design is different than most controls, but I think it works well and it’s light without the rumble pack.I prefer the controller to be lighter,I personally don’t need a rumble pack, but I could buy one if I wanted one, plus I have a ps2 system with a controller that does that anyway.I recommend the Total Control Plus,a Ps2/psone control adapter,if you don’t like using the Dreamcast controller.
Pros: great button layout, comfortable could play for hours, cheap and reliable, innovative vmu slot
Cons: rumble isn’t built in controller
5 Stars Awesome controller.
This is one of the coolest controllers ever made, with the VMU ports on the controller!
